Meditation at The Retreat Holistic Living Centre

Meditation is a natural way of getting to know the mind so that we can investigate and understand how it works and improve it through training. It takes a lot of practice to train the mind.

We are starting our Sunday morning meditation workshops at The Retreat on 11th December so you can take a calming break and sample a number of meditation methods before the chaos of Christmas. The workshop provides an introduction to a number of meditation methods used in Buddhist practice taking us beyond our western view of mindfulness. Much of the meditation class will be held in silence. There is a discussion time so we can share our thoughts. sessions are open to everyone, beginners, advanced, any religion or none.

Please wear comfortable clothes for relaxation/meditation and bring your favourite blanket/cushion if you have one
